that itch

Almost everything eaten at my house is made from scratch.  That doesn’t mean I make the bread for our toast; I’m not THAT devoted to the idea (and I’m not a great baker).  But, we do make our own hummus, sauces, dips, dried fruits, etc.  I want to know the origin of my food.  I just do.  This next Call is actually a food them, and you know how I love a food theme…

Check out this Call for Entries from Stop & Go (touring) for Made from Scratch for animation using stop motion techniques.  I know this Call will have limited appeal with readers of AAAD, but all of us know someone that will dig this.  So, be sure to share this with your friends…

please

For some reason, just the glimpse of a downtown area makes me crave Polish sausage.  No kidding.  I once flew into Atlanta & thought I would have an anxiety fit watching the city below if I couldn’t get Polish sausage & peppers as soon as I de-boarded.  It is some bizarre, vendor-cart taste memory, I suppose.  This next Call doesn’t want your sausage, but they do want the cityscape that inspires your (my) craving.  Take a look…

piggie, piggie

I love freshly roasted pork. I’ve been told that airplane food is getting better.  I flew from Tennessee to Phoenix, Arizona in the Spring; however, the flights were short due to layovers so I didn’t eat any meals.  My experience with food in coach seating is that it has always reminded me of school cafeteria food — overly starchy, processed and sometimes unidentifiable.  If you are one of the winners in the next Call, I expect you to report back on the food for the flights to Milan, London, New York, Shanghai and Sao Paulo.  I recommend that you investigate further…
