Seafood?

I long to live off the grid, both for the consumption of energy resources AND for culinary purposes.  I am not the greenest or environmentally conscious person that ever lived.  My family and I do what we can.  But, we long to live off the grid via solar power, cistern water collection and home-grown food.  We want a life free of debt for electricity, water and groceries.  I haven’t figured out how to tackle the seafood and cell phone issue, but I stand in awe of at least the idea of depending solely on nature for survival. This next call invites you to celebrate the wonder of nature.  Great opportunity for a California show!

Check out this Call for Entries from the Linus Gallery (Pasadena, CA) for Nature, a group show.  In addition to being featured in a group show, you can also get a permanent link back to your website.  Take a look…

NUTS for
LOBSTER

When I think of Georgia, I start craving lobster bisque.  Yes, I know that Georgia is the Peach State, but as I have mentioned before… I have peach issues.  Georgia conjures images of trips to Savannah with my mother for glorious lunches at the River House of Caesar salad made fresh at our table, rich and creamy lobster bisque, and a huge slice of pecan pies.  You can’t touch that with peaches.  So this next Call is over 250 miles from Savannah, but it is still Georgia.  If you can’t find the bisque while at the opening, pecan pie can’t be far away…

Check out this Call for Entries from Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville/Douglas County (Georgia) for the 25th Annual National Juried Exhibition. This well-established show could be a great showcase for your work.  Take a look…

CALL for ENTRIES: Sugarloaf

Click to Subscribe to www.ArtAndArtDeadlines.com by Email!PLAN AHEAD

My family is on a savings spree.  We sat down the first week of the year and decided on goals for the year.  Many of those goals require cash.  Cash necessitates saving.  Saving, in my house, means cutting the food budget.  Grocery shopping is now preceeded by a menu and detailed grocery list and eating out has been cut to one sit-down meal and one fast-food meal a week.  This next Call gives you an opportunity to plan ahead.

This Call for Entries is for the 13 Sugarloaf Fine Art & Crafts festivals.  I don’t publish many festival calls, but Sugarloaf is among the country’s finest.  Take a look, and find a festival for you…or enter them all.
