Check out this Call for Entries for the 25th Annual National Juried Art Exhibition sponsored by the South Cobb Arts Alliance and exhibited at the Mable House Arts Center at Historic Mable House (Mableton, GA). 25 years of exhibit history AND only 25% commission.  Maybe it is time for you to head south…

ELIGIBILITY:  Open to all artist/residents of the United States.

MEDIA:  PaintingOil/Acrylic; Painting  – Watercolor; Pastel; Printmakingetching, woodcuts, serigraphs, etc; Drawing; Sculpturemetal, clay, wood or any mixture in 3-D form; Photography; Mixed Media (list all materials used); Collage and Fine Crafts.

DEADLINE:  June 7, 2012

NOTIFICATION:  July 9, 2012

JUROR:  Kristen Miller Zohn is the Curator of Collections and Exhibitions for the Columbus Museum in Columbus, Georgia. Ms. Zohn has a MA in Art History from Florida State University and a BA in Art History from Salem College.

Zohn’s previous work was with Museum of Early Southern Decorative Arts, Reynolda House Museum of American Art and Albany Museum of Art in Georgia. Ms. Miller Zohn served as Curator of Education at the Columbus Museum for six years before moving to her current position in 2007.

AWARDS:  Karen Beswick Founders Award $1,000; SCAA Award of Distinction $500, Four Awards of Excellence $250 each; and Four Awards of Merit $100 each; and additional Purchase Awards.

SALES:  Sales are encouraged. Any regular sale will be the sales amount the artist has requested. A 25% commission will be withheld. The South Cobb Arts Alliance will pay the sales tax.
