EMERGING ARTISTS: Ephemeral Call for Entries

Subscribe to ArtAndArtDeadlines.com by Email!ArtAndArtDeadlines.com thrives on the idea of helping artists move beyond the Starving Artist Syndrome.  It does not have to be all instant oatmeal and ramen noodles, folks.  Although I do admit to loving ramen and all of the salty goodness.

Find a Show.  Enter a Show.  Eat.

We are not alone in our enthusiasm for helping artists succeed.  Take a look at this great call for ephemeral art.

ROY G BIV Gallery for Emerging Artists is currently looking for entries for Time-Sensitive, an exhibition held at The Ohio State University Urban Arts Space, located at 50 W Town Street, Columbus, OH 43215 from October 2010 – January 2011. Ola Ståhl will select the artwork. Group exhibitions may be submitted with a concept proposal for the space.

Time-Sensitive will feature artists who explore the idea of the ephermeral. Ephemeral artworks fade, disappear, or simply “end” due to the materials or time that they inhibit. The artworks in Time-Sensitive will explore the impermanent and the transitory, as well as disintegration and decay. These investigations will hopefully encourage momentary (yet lasting) impressions on the viewer.
