FLAVOR bombs

Was there a bumper crop of clementines this year? Most winters I cling to them as a dose of orange-y sunshine while I wait for the greens to turn green and the tomatoes to lose their gray, hot house pallor. But, truth-be-told, most clementines I buy seem flavorless starting around the end of February.
