I prefer immediate gratification, be it chocolate or laundry. I simply don’t like to wait.  That is one of the many reasons that I don’t bake chocolate soufflés–because I cannot handle the agony of seeing if it will turn out beautiful and puffed or flat and dreary.  I lose enthusiasm for the whole laundry process during the dry time too (not that I am generally very enthused about it to start with).  Although, I will take soufflé baking over laundry any day of the week.  This next Call is a perfect opportunity for you to contemplate the passage of time, and not just of food and laundry. Think about it…

Check out this Call for Entries from the Kiernan Gallery in Lexington, VA for In Time. This entry fee is low, and I love the concept of contemplating the passage of time, a reflection if you will. Take a look!

In a sense, every photograph is an embodiment of time.
