I live in a town with an approximate population of 3,500.  Yes, you read that correctly.  Luckily we play host to another 10,000 to 100,000 visitors on any given day.  That increase in population warrants a few extra convenience, but we still have only one zip code and only one grocery store.  For its size, it offers a large variety of fresh, canned and dried organic foods.  It seems visitors to the area expect to find organic foods, and I benefit.  Yeah.  Organic foods are in high demand in Austria as well; I promise that segue to the next Call will make more sense if you just keep reading, ha.  Take a look…

ELIGIBILITY: Open to all artists

MEDIA:  There is no theme, but the work(s) must be defined as videoart by the artist.  The duration of video works are max. 10 minutes and have to be completed after January 1, 2011.

DEADLINE:  August 31, 2013 postmarked

ENTRY FEE:  None.  Up to 3 entries.

AWARDS:   There will be a first prize of € 1.000 (approx $1291 USD).  They cannot, however, offer any additional payment for individually screened works.

Are you an artist or film-maker looking for a way to showcase your short films? whitespace gallery in Atlanta, Georgia is currently accepting submissions for a series of short film screenings this summer. These events, sponsored by Cathead Vodka, will be free and open to the public with films being projected in our outdoor patio after dark. In an effort to showcase new artists, encourage experimentation with film, and grow the Atlanta art community, the subject-matter for the screenings will remain open.

ELIGIBILITY:  Open to all artists

MEDIA: Film and video

DEADLINE:  June 1, 2013  EXTENDED: June 23rd, 2013, 5pm

GUIDELINES:

– Accepted submissions must be resubmitted via online file transfer or CD in MPEG-4 format

– Please be sure to include a link to your submission, name, email address,
phone number, artist’s statement and bio in the body of the email
