BITE me

The darker my mood, the darker the chocolate needs to be.  The past few days have given me many reasons to eat emotionally, none of them good, but I cannot seem to find a chocolate with a bite dark enough match my roar.  I’m going to have to make art instead, clearly. This next Call wants your darkest art. Send them your best…

Check out this Call for Entries from Soulard Gallery (St. Louis, MO) for Art of Darkness.  Don’t miss the early bird deadline to save on entry fees. This is a great venue…

  1. Hello: FYI… I sent work to this call “Art Of Darkness” and after a week or so I received the message that they do not accept work outside their regional area. I was perplexed by this since nowhere in your call for work nor on their web page do I see this stipulation.

I feel I wasted my time preparing work/files for submission only to learn they will not accept my work because I’m outside their region.

  2. That really sucks, Lee. I’ve had a couple of peers show with them; however, they did live regionally. Their call did not indicate they were geographically exclusive. I apologize for the waste of your time. I recently had an arts organization take my money for a call, require a ridiculous amount of work including scaled macquettes and THEN cancel the call on a technicality without refunds or even deferment of fees for a later call. So, I get it, and I understand. I will put them on my do not publish list since they are regional. Thank you for letting me know, and again, I apologize for the oversight on my part. R.L.
