Am I the only one that lives on cold foods during the summer? When the thermometer hits 90, the temperature of food in my house goes to 50 degrees. Marinated meats are grilled and chilled. Steamed veggies are dressed with vinaigrette and chilled. And fresh salad of crunchy cabbage and carrots are served ice cold. The next call has no theme, but it opens in the Summer heat. Have some antipasto at the opening for me…

CALL for ENTRIES:
Summer Photo Show 2012

Since its foundation in February of 2011, The Lunch Box Gallery has started to become a highly recognized space among artist/photographers, critics, professors, scholars, photography lovers, students and important art press, for bringing a deeper appreciation and perceptiveness of contemporary photography, giving voice to unique art works not only in technique and craftsmanship, but as well as in concept, message and creative take.
The Lunch Box Gallery is proud to be acknowledged for its outstanding thematic shows and meticulous selection of photographers from around the world; revealing thoughtful content and always pursuing the novelty of the art form.

ELIGIBILITY: All artists, national and international over 18 years of age.

MEDIA: All mediums of photography including color, black and white and any mixed-media art that utilizes photography as one of its forms of expression. All photographic mediums, methods, types and schools are welcome.

DEADLINE: July 20, 2012

NOTIFICATION: July 22, 2012

ENTRY FEE: $25 is required for up to 4 pieces, $5 per add’l image.

AWARDS: For this particular group exhibition, The Lunch Box Gallery will be awarding three artists, one with the title “Best in Show”, and two honorable mentions. The three artists will be notified on August 13th, 2012 via email, two days after the opening.

SALES: All works in the show must be for sale. Sale price for each image is determined by the artist. The gallery will take a 35% commission on all sales in the course of the exhibit.
