I love exotic foods, and they love to eat my budget.  Luckily, exotic foods like the dragon fruit are rare in my neck of the woods.  But, if you get a chance to try one, don’t pass it up.  They come in both sweet and sour varieties; however, I prefer the sour ones.  This next Call is of rare variety as well.

3×3 Magazine is entering its eighth year judging the world’s best contemporary
illustration judged by some of the world’s top art directors, designers and illustrators.  3×3 still has one of the lowest entry and publication fees around. enter and pay for your entries online.  Not to worry, they still accept checks and money orders and you can still enter on disc if you prefer.

ELIGIBILITY:  Open to all illustrators, art directors, graphic designers, editors, publishers in all countries for commissioned and non-commissioned work produced and/or published during the calendar year 2010.

DEADLINE:  March 4, 2011

ENTRY FEE:  Single entries are $30 and Series (3–5 images only) are $35. They accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express.

JUDGES:  This year’s distinguished panel of judges include art directors, design directors, graphic designers and fellow illustrators. Since the competition is international, so are the judges:

AWARDS:  Gold, Silver, Bronze, Distinguished Merit and a Best of Show award. This year’s Best of Show winner receives a cash prize of $1500.  The Gold Medal winners receive a cash-value prize of $750 each.
