JURORS & AWARDS:  Each of the 8 galleries in jury, located in the most important Spanish areas for contemporary art, will choose one artist to realize a solo show. The exhibition can be a prelude to a long-lasting collaboration (many of the artists who won the prize in Italian editions, now work permanently with the galleries that rewarded them). The galleries choose freely and autonomously their own winners and are just required to select artists with whom they had never had previous work relationships. Exhibits will open in the 2017-2018 season.

SALES:  All commercial transactions regarding sales are handled directly between the gallery & artist.  Transports costs are meant to be covered by the artist.

CALL for ENTRIES: Art in Public Places

Learn more about Art in Public Places from Dogwood Arts!for the love of SUSHI

Raw fish and seaweed tend to be very polarizing ingredients.  Rarely do I meet someone who has a take-it-or-leave-it attitude about sushi.  It tends to be love or hate every time.  I understand why raw fish lacks appeal for so many.  But, I find converting friends into sushi-lovers is often as simple as the surprise lunch.  Sushi kitchens are usually spotless; the food is usually delicious & flavorful.  Finding lovers of public art is far easier, and this next Call proves it every year.  Take a look…

Long-time readers have felt my pain at the lack of ethnic culinary options in my little hometown.  But we HAVE recently added superb Thai & Indian food to list.  There is ONE really inconveniently located German restaurant –which is like not having one.  But, I still await Ethiopian food (never going to happen) & Hungarian food (craving hideg meggyleves, a chilled cherry, sour soup).  Soup is not the only reason to consider this next residency Call.  Take a look…
