I’m not really a milk drinker –never have been.  I use it in cooking and to make cheese, but by the glass is uncommon.  It has in recent years, though, become helpful in the winter months.  In the winter, my writing for AAAD & creating my own art (both visual & performing) keeps me indoors most of the time.  A lack of sunshine for extended periods of time is often accompanied by a general malaise –the winter blues.  Milk isn’t a miracle drug, but the boost of Vitamin D does seem to help.  This next Call wants your perspective on blue.  Take a look…

ELIGIBILITY:  Open to all artists

MEDIA:  Open to all mediums & materials are eligible including 2-D, 3-D, mixed-media & video.

DEADLINE:  December 26, 2015

NOTIFICATION:  January 10, 2016

JUROR:  With an MFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a BS from Skidmore College, Sarah Krepp taught in the SAIC Painting Program for seven years before becoming Professor & Chair of the Painting Program at the University of Illinois at Urbana / Champaign. Being both a visual artist and a professor, she has worked and taught nationally at visiting artist residencies & internationally in Ireland, Italy &France, earning opportunities to exhibit at many venues.

AWARDS:  Three monetary awards: Best in Show and two honorable mentions.

SALES:  Works will be for sale unless noted as NFS (not for sale) on the entry form.  ARC does not take commission on any work sold, but will act as a liaison for sales of the artists’ work.
