CALL for ENTRIES: Balance

I have become more keenly aware of balance of flavors as my taste buds mature.  Once upon a time, barbeque pizza was a treat on its own.  Now, it requires cilantro and a squeeze of lime–a touch of acid to cut the ooey gooey-ness of it all. Is it that my taste is evolving, or am a just more easily bored by food?  This next Call is all about your view of balance.  Take a look…

Check out this Call for Entries for Balance from the Jeffrey Leder Gallery (NYC, NY). The price per image is reasonable, and this just the NYC opportunity a few of you have been seeking. Don’t miss this chance…

Balance

“What I dream of is an art of balance” – Henri Matisse

Balance in art is the arrangement of elements so no one part overpowers the other, or seems heavier than the other.

There are three different perspectives on balance: symmetrical balance – stable and formal.  Asymmetrical balance – non-stable and dramatic. Radial balance – alludes to movement. How do you utilize balance in your art?  If selected you will be a part of an exciting group exhibit in New York City.
