The gift of time is every Chef’s dream.  It seems the hardest part of cooking for your family or for a crowd of guests is the multi-tasking required to get it all done on time.  And the only solution for burnt food?  Time to do it over again.  One of the best parts of the award for this Call is not just the cash to get the work done, but the TIME to get the work done as well.

SOLO SHOW OPPORTUNITY:  3rd Ward in NYC

The 3rd Ward’s  Spring Open Call is an international open call for innovative, dynamic and exciting artwork to identify who will be our next solo show legend.

ELIGIBILITY:  Open to all artists internationally.

MEDIA:  All mediums, including Sculpture, Installation, Painting, Drawing, Photography, Design, Illustration, Film, Video, Animation, Performance and Sound.

DEADLINE:  FRIDAY, April 22nd, 2011

ENTRY FEE:  Price for entry is $10 per image, or you can submit 8 or more images for a flat rate of $79 (maximum of 20 images).

JURORS:  Valentine Freeman, Curator at Ace Hotels; Michael Itkoff, Editor of Daylight Magazine; John Hamilton, Art Director of Penguin Publishing General Division; and Daria Brit Shapiro, Head Curator at Artists Wanted.

AWARD:  One talented visionary will receive a 3-month live/work NYC residency, a $5,000 cash grant and access to the resources to help YOU create a body of work to present in your own solo exhibit at 3rd Ward.  To view previous winners, click here.
