NO CHICKEN
for dinner

I have nieces in college that will only eat chicken & potatoes.  More accurately, their preference is chicken fingers & fries.  These ladies are in their twenties.  Their parents chose their battles, so to speak, and apparently food wasn’t one of them.  Even on special occasions like holidays & birthdays (not even their own), someone always cooks chicken fingers, nuggets or tenders for these two just to keep the peace.  This would be a declaration of war in my house.  This next Call wants YOUR take on conflict–not just from the battleground either.  This is a great opportunity to stretch your artistic self conceptually…

Check out this Call for Entries from the Darkroom Gallery (Essex Junction, VT) for War & Peace. $24 entry. We’re proud of how many of our readers have been both shown & awarded in the past few years at Darkroom.  Take a look

War & Peace

“As described by the famous Karl Marx theory: society is in a state of perpetual conflict due to competition for limited resources.  One can see that is true if you simply watch a broadcast news program.  From civil rights, to gay rights to global terrorism, our world is a bubbling cauldron of adversarial commotion. And it seems it has always been this way.” — from darkroomgallery.com
