CALL for ENTRIES: Family Photography

Learn more about the Family exhibit from Passporte! tall, light & GREEN

My kid came home from college for the weekend.  At school, he has access to everything from a wok station to carving board and, what I suspect is a seldom-used, salad bar.  I asked him if he wanted anything special for dinner, and his answer was “asparagus”.  When pushed for a reason, he said, “It doesn’t taste the same anywhere else.”  I suppose family is like that, nothing special to most of the world, but uniquely special to each of us –for better or worse.  This next call wants your views on family.  Show them what you’ve got…

Check out this Call for Entries from The Passporte (online gallery) for Family Photography.  There is no fee & submissions are limited to a single entry.   Take a look at this opportunity…

CURRY from a cart

There are glorious benefits to living rurally, including quiet solitude and night-time darkness.  But, I’ve always admitted that there are detractions, many of them food related, from the long haul to the grocer and a lack of food diversity.  Currently, I really miss street food or living in a city where wanting a snack just means I have have to walk a few yards or a block from my front door to whichever vendor is occupying the corner today.  I miss it.  This next Call wants to see your best street impressions.  Don’t miss this chance…

CALL for ENTRIES: Health & Medicine

Learn more about the Health and Medicine salon exhibit at The Passporte gallery! medical EDIBLE florals

Lavender infused whipped cream is a favorite treat in my house.  But at the moment, I am growing lavender in a window sill for my husband’s head.  The weather has been so beautiful that I’ve been leaving the doors open without benefit of screen doors, and every night mosquitoes make a meal of Jon’s forehead.  Lavender is both a sleep-inducing aromatic and a mosquito repellent.  So, homemade lavender-infused coconut oil is my medicinal hope for continuing to enjoy open doors.  This next Call wants your perspective on health & medicine, but it doesn’t have to be edible.  Plus,  free entry…
