fiesta ANACARDO

I made a little party mix as finger food for my teenager yesterday.  It is his favorite snack, and I’m a sucker for the “please” of it all.  The reviews are in and while I got I got bonus points for substituting cayenne for garlic, apparently not including cashews is unforgivable.  Who knew something so small would make such a difference?  This next Call is counting on all things small.  Investigate for yourself…

CALL for ENTRIES: JF Small Works

Learn more about the Small Works Exhbit from the JF Art Gallery in West Palm Beach, FL!picking a peck of
PEPPER
grinders

I have lost track of the number of pepper mills I have owned.  The best one I ever owned featured one-handed operation.  It eventually broke after being dropped one too many times, and I could never find the same one again.  The dilemma is that they either grind the pepper too fine or too coarse, and the adjusters never turn quite far enough.  Ground too finely, pepper will dominate the flavor of any meal.  Ground too coarsely,  peppercorns will give your guests a crunchy, spicy surprise in the middle of an otherwise well-balanced meal.  It is all about the size.  So is this next Call.  Take a look…

Check out this Call for Entries from the JF Gallery (West Palm Beach, FL) for their Small Works exhibit.  If you don’t work small, don’t dismiss this one.  Their guidelines include work up to 30″ x 30″…
