LEMONS

There are a few culinary treasures in my home.  Goat cheese makes the world go round.  Almost any dish can be made better with balsamic vinegar.  Red bell pepper round out the taste of any dish.  Lemons are essential to virtually all dishes.  They are all small treasures that are taken for granted, until you’re out of one of them.  This next Call wants your treasures to round out their holiday season.  Love this tradition…

Check out this Call for Entries from the Celebrations Gallery & Shoppes (Pomfret Center, CT) for Small Works: Artful Treasures.  The entry fee can be as little as $15, and the commission is 35%.  Take a look…

please

Even my dogs have become finicky eaters.  They have always been Milk-Bone® kind of dogs.  But it seems that lately they have started turning up their nose to their usual treats.  I’ve tried peanut butter flavored and beef basted with no results.  I already bake a lot of foods from scratch for my family, and I fear dog treats may get added to the list soon.  If I am going to make treats, I’d rather make them for the hard working pups involved with this next call instead of my spoiled brats.  Take a look…

Check out this Call for Entries for Boxed In, an exhibit that serves as a fundraiser for Sam’s Voice which helps fund Autism service dogs for families.  I know you get asked to donate all of the time; so, I will break this down simply:  no entry fee, cash prizes & donation of work.  If your life has been touched by autism, this is ideal for lightweight, lower material cost artwork (photography, drawing, illustration, printmaking, etc)Please consider participating…
