Learn more about the 6x6 ROCO show!SQUARE FRUIT
round hole

I truly appreciate having less space.  Since I have moved to my downsized home in November, I have conquered most of the challenges of storage by ridding my home of excess crap.  But, food storage IS still a problem.  I tripped across square apples, and now that I make my own applesauce this could come in handy.  But, call me when they drop from $7 PER apple.  Luckily, this next Call for squares has no entry fee.  Take a look…

Check out this Call for Entries from the Rochester Contemporary Art Center (Rochester, NY) for the 6x6x2014. No entry fee, and THIS all hung still looks great on your resume!  One of my favorite shows of the year…

big stomach

The natural result of my food obsession is that I have tried every diet on the planet, or so it would seem.  One of the funniest (and most futile) was to use only 6″ x 6″ square plates.  The thought is that you could fool your brain into thinking you had eaten a full-size plate of food while only actually consuming the smaller portion.  The one problem with that plan is that I’m not that easily suggestible.  Is anyone?  This is the next Call is a far better use of the 6″ square.  Take a look…

Check out this Call for Entries from the Rochester Contemporary Art Center (RoCo) for the 6x6x2013. There is no entry fee for up to 6 submissions. This show looks great on your resume, and your work could hang side by side with celebrity artists!  One of my favorite shows of the year…

I am a collector at heart. I enjoy having odd jars of condiments just a cabinet door away. I love having kitchen gadgets and utensils that I only have reason to use once a year. But what I most love to collect is art. I have art stuffed in every nook and cranny of my house. Including a little carving of late artist Bob Ross (click here for image) who came in his own little cigarette box marked “Bob in a Box” part of a series by Bob Snead , Founder of Redux. This next show gives YOU a chance to be both collected and a collector!

Check out this Call for Entries from the Rochester Contemporary Art Center (RoCo) for the 6x6x2012. There is no entry fee for up to 10 submissions. This show is all hung, looks great on your resume, and benefits a great member of the art community!
