Between birthdays, graduations, announcements, promotions & general merriment, I have tasted every flavor & color combination imaginable.  We have the Greeks to thank for the delicious tradition that finds its origins in honor of Artemis, the goddess of the moon.  Even the candles are said to represent the glow of the moon.  Beautiful, but seriously, I need a break from the cake.  This next Call offers you an chance to celebrate your MFA enrollment (current or past) by showing your work in this next show.  Take a look…

ELIGIBILITY:  Open to artists who are or have been enrolled in an MFA program within the last three years in the U.S.

MEDIA:  Open to painting, drawing, mixed media, printmaking, sculpture, photography, installation & computer-generated art. No video, film, or giclees.

DEADLINE:  May 31, 2017

NOTIFICATION: June 20, 2017

ENTRY FEE:  $35 for up to 3, $5 ea. add’l

JUROR:  Dorothea Rockburne, renowned artist, Guggenheim Fellow, American Academy of Arts and Letters member and Black Mountain alumnus. Recipient of numerous awards, whose work is in the collections of The Museum of Modern Art , The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Yale University Art Gallery, and The Guggenheim Museum, among many others.
