Learn more about the 2017 National Juried Exhibit from Wausau Museum of Contemporary Art! sin or con CARNE?

It won’t come as a surprise to many of you, but I have more than a few foodie friends.  They sort of cover the full range of foodie-ism too –from sous chefs to chili cookoff champions & even those that love to eat but can burn water.  A recent scandal broke out amongst my chili chefs about how many of the local & regional cookoffs have become “popularity contests” with prize money going to the team that could conjure enough of their friends to attend & vote.  Seriously?  Are we cheating chili challenges now?  This next Call has an esteemed artist doing the choosing.  Can you make the cut?  Investigate this opportunity.

Check out this Call for Entries from Wausau Museum of Contemporary Art (Wausau, WI) for the 2017 National Juried Art Exhibition. This show boasts a well-known juror & a beautiful new venue.  Take a look…

CALL for ENTRIES: Madness

The weirdness of my lunch is directly proportional to how badly I don’t want to go to the grocery store.  I spend most of my working hours in my home office/studio.  As a result, my work clothing standards are sometimes (often) not how I’d like to be seen in public.  So to avoid the extra work of dressing and driving and shopping, I create food collages of sorts –often disparate ingredients composed into pasta salads, casseroles & almost anything sauteed & stuffed into a corn tortilla.  This next Call is for traditional & digital collages; I don’t think food collage counts.  Take a look…
