$5 Art Contest
*Editor’s Note: Entries in November & December of 2013 entries will be judged together the first week of January 2014 to give the winner the fairest shot at Artist of the Year.
Every month or so, we feature the work of an artist with a short interview and links back to the artist’s site. For examples, check out previous features!
Tangible Benefits, if you win:
- The distinct honor of being a FEATURED ARTIST of the MONTH on AAAD… the cherry on our dessert.
- A permanent inbound link from the post to multiple pages on your website from this site which has a Google Page Rank of 4 (as of 12/23) which helps your website’s visibility.
- Additional permanent inbound links from the Featured Artist page to your post that will link to your website which also helps your website’s visibility on the web.
- An opportunity to become Featured Artist of the Year with a second updated post.
It could be the best $5 you ever spend:
Why $5? Actually, it is $4.55 after PayPal fees. $5 is a ridiculously low fee FOR ANYTHING. You see a benefit, and ArtAndArtDeadlines.com gets to promote great art and great artists. Simple. Don’t have $5, check out the Rejection page for how to enter for free.
FEE: Send your $5 entry fee to email@example.com via PayPal.com and record the transaction # when you’re finished. Don’t worry…it is part of the confirmation email they send you. Don’t have $5? See the Rejection Letter page for details.
SUBMISSION: Send ONE email to firstname.lastname@example.org the PayPal transaction #, link to your website (Please don’t enter if you don’t have a web presence because there will be little benefit to you if you win), and tell me how you found the contest. The subject line of your email should have the current month in CAPS and your name. For example: <INSERT MONTH> $5 Art Contest – <insert your name>
DEADLINE: The deadline is the last day of each month. The artist chosen will be notified, and the FEATURED ARTIST will be posted around the 15th of the month.
DISCLAIMERS: We reserve the right to publish work of artists whose work we love–entry fee or not. We reserve the right to publish every other month if entries are too few in number. Please don’t expect to get a ribbon or crown in the mail.
