CALL for ENTRIES: Windows

2017 February 1

Learn more about the Windows edition of Don't Take Pictures!clink CLINK

Except for a few specialty pieces, I’ve always owned white dishes.  I love color, but food has always been the creative expression for me –even when my husband spent two years as a commercial potter.  In recent years, we’ve begun slumping glass part time in a kiln shed built onto our back deck.  I am intrigued by the patterns and textures and colors as they meld together.  It make me want to make a different sheet of glass for every window in my house.  This next Call is a salute to that very visual framework.  Take a look…

Check out this Call for Entries from Don’t Take Pictures for Windows.  This is a smart theme as well as a no-cost chance for a little art publication. Don’t miss this opportunity…

“Letting in the light, windows provide a portal to look out onto the world or to peer into a space. These panes of glass sometimes allow the viewer clarity, seeing through to the other side, and other times create visual barriers. . . [DTP] seeks photographs that use windows as a compositional device, or as subject matter.” –from
