CULTURE

Mayhaw jelly is the gift that keeps giving.  I appreciate receiving foods from all over the U.S., but often those foods aren’t necessarily native to an area — just popular there.  But, the mayhaw berry is native to the wetlands, so every time I receive a Louisiana batch, I am transported back to a place I love.  You can keep the beignets; just pass the jelly.  This next Call hails from Louisiana too and is just as special.  Take a look…

Check out this Call for Entries for the 53rd Annual Juried Exhibition from the Masur Museum of Art (Monroe, LA). $20 Entry, no commission, and the gallery is stunning. This is a great opportunity!
