You know what I haven’t eaten in years? Boston Baked Beans candy.  Remember those red, candy coated peanuts you used to love?  They don’t really look like boston baked beans to me, although I do suppose they have one thing in common the their more savory counterpart… a dose of protein that is well-hidden in sugar.  Well, you don’t have to go to the Boston area to get either of these culinary treats; however, it might be a goofy distraction while you are in town for your show opening once you apply to this next Call.  Take a look…

CALL for PROPOSALS: Gallery 263

 

Learn more about Gallery 263!Gallery 263 is currently accepting applications for its Fall 2011 Curatorial Proposal Series.  The full series will host six exhibitions between September 2011 and May 2012.  The Series provides artists of all media and experience levels a chance to experiment with the organization and presentation of contemporary art.   Three exhibitions will be selected for Fall 2011.

ELIGIBILITY:  Open to all artists; however, at least 50% of CPS exhibitions will include local artists (from the Boston area).

MEDIA:  All media will be considered

NOTIFICATION:  Aug. 27, 2011

ENTRY FEE:  $25 application fee (via paypal or check by mail).  All funds go directly to support the CPS program and to supplement costs for the selected exhibitions.

ABOUT:  Gallery 263 (G263) is a multi-purpose nonprofit art gallery in Cambridge, MA devoted to providing the community with a welcoming environment in which to create, discuss, and experience art of all media. Beyond offering a space for artists to present their work, the Gallery invites the public to become involved with the creative process through workshops, film presentations, lectures, music performances, juried show competitions and yoga. Within the Artist in Residency Program, artists experiment, innovate, and educate on individual and collaborative levels. Gallery 263 is dedicated to furthering its service as it engages the community in the arts.
