Welcome to ArtAndArtDeadlines.com ! Here are the deadlines for November 16 - 30 of 2009. Some of these shows have deadlines coming up soon.  Many of these are online or digital entries which save you money (for food). There are inexpensive shows that could be a great resume builders…so no excuses! Be the chef not the cook of your own art career!

SHOW: Call for Entries:Redux’s 2009 Annual Call to Artists

DEADLINE: Postmarked by November 16, 2009.

MEDIA: Exhibitions are not limited to any media, and all applicants will be considered for solo, group, and two person shows.

DESCRIPTION: Redux Contemporary Art Center produces 8 exhibitions per year in two gallery spaces. A diverse range of risk-taking exhibitions are produced each year covering a wide range of topics through solo, two-person and group exhibitions. Often Redux operates as a project space inviting artists to produce original works on site through varying lengths of residency, while engaging and interacting with our local community though special classes and artist talks. All of our exhibitions are free and open to the public. SHOW:  “The Serious and Playful Sides of Light” — Still Point Art Gallery
ENTRY DEADLINE:  November 16, 2009 – Online Entry & Payment
EXHIBIT TYPE:  Online Exhibit
MEDIA:   Open to artists 18 years of age or older living in the United States who submit original artwork in any medium except video and wearable art.
DESCRIPTION:  Still Point Art Gallery announces a call to artists for “The Serious and Playful Sides of Light,” an online exhibition December 2, 2009 – February 9, 2010. Three Artists of Distinction will be chosen to show their art as Gallery Artists in 2010. SHOW:  Elements of Water, Fine Art Photography Show — The Center for Fine Art Photography in Fort Collins, Colorado
ENTRY DEADLINE:  November 17, 2009.
EXHIBIT TYPE:  Gallery Exhibit
MEDIA:  The Center for Fine Art Photography invites photographers working in all mediums, styles and schools of thought to participate in its exhibitions. Experimental and mixed techniques are welcome.
DESCRIPTION:  The Center for Fine Art Photography in Fort Collins, Colorado seeks entries from photographers world wide, both amateur and professional for an exhibition to be held February 19 – March 13, 2010. $720 in awards.  $35 ($20 for members) for the first 3 images, $10 for each image after that. SHOW:  “Annual Juried Contemporary Drawing Exhibition” call for entries — The UNCA, Tucker Cooke Gallery in Asheville, North Carolina
ENTRY DEADLINE:  November 20, 2009 – Postmark Deadline.
EXHIBIT TYPE:  Gallery Exhibit
MEDIA:  Open to any 2-Dimensional media applicable to the practice of drawing including but by no means limited to traditional drawing media.
DESCRIPTION:  The UNCA, Tucker Cooke Gallery in Asheville, North Carolina announces a call to artists for the “Annual Juried Contemporary Drawing Exhibition”, January 12, 2009 -February 2, 2010. $500 cash will be awarded by the juror Deborah Rockman. Open to all artists living in the United States who are 18 years of age or older. All work must be original and completed in the past two years. Work cannot have previously been exhibited in any UNCA gallery. $30 for up to 3 images or $60 for up to 6 images. SHOW: “Au Naturel: The Nude in the 21st Century” — Clatsop Community College

 ENTRY DEADLINE:  November 23, 2009 – Received Date.

EXHIBIT TYPE:  Gallery Exhibit  

MEDIA:  Open to all artists working in any two dimensional drawing, painting, and printmaking media with a focus on the nude human figure as subject matter in any form from representational to abstract, and in which the handmade mark is employed as the primary means of image-making.

DESCRIPTION: Clatsop Community College announces a call to artists for “Au Naturel: The Nude in the 21st Century” www.aunaturelastoria.com, February 25 – April 8, 2010 at the Clatsop Community College Art Center in Astoria, Oregon. $1000 in cash prizes. Up to $2000 in purchase awards. One artist will be chosen to be featured in a solo show. Juror: Laura Russo. Entrants must be 18 years or older. SHOW: Old Florida, Fine Art Photographic Exhibit, call for entries — The Southeast Gallery of Photographic Art in Vero Beach, Florida    

ENTRY DEADLINE:  November 28, 2009 – Received Deadline.

MEDIA:  Photography    

DESCRIPTION:  Southeast Gallery of Photographic Art located in Vero Beach, Florida announces a call to artists for their themed juried exhibit hanging from January 2 to February 27, 2010. Old Florida is disappearing fast. If it’s not termites and hurricanes, development has mowed through old schools, churches, and homes. Preservation is not easy and too often economics wins over conserving old buildings. This exhibition will feature pictures of architecture and landmarks, styles and colors, life in a slower time. $30 ($20 members) for first three images.
