There is at least one unjuried show that could be a great resume builder…so no excuses! Be the mouse that GETS the cheese!

SHOW: Projekt30′s December 2009 Exhibition

EXHIBIT TYPE: Online Exhibit – Publicly Juried

DESCRIPTION: Projekt30 is taking submissions for our December 2009 publicly juried online exhibition. We are an artist-run arts organization dedicated to promoting emerging artists. The exhibition will include thirty artists; invitations will be sent to over 30,000 galleries, collectors, and fellow artists. Visitors have the option of contacting any participating artist with feedback or opportunities. All artwork submitted will be presented online prior to the exhibition so visitors may help select which artists will be included. All participants receive exposure. $40 for 10 images. SHOW: “Americas 2010: Paperworks” — The Northwest Art Center at Minot State University

DESCRIPTION: Call to artists for the “Americas 2010: Paperworks” juried competition, to be held January 11 through February 24, 2010 at Hartnett Hall Gallery, Minot State University. SHOW: “Baker Arts Center 12th National Juried Art Exhibition”

MEDIA: Original 2 & 3-dimensional artwork completed since January 2008 and not previously shown in this exhibit.
DESCRIPTION: The Baker Arts Center in Liberal, Kansas announces a call to artists for its annnual juried art exhibition, January 9- February 20, 2010. $7,600 in awards. Juror: Dan Addington. SHOW: Mosaic Arts International 2010
ENTRY DEADLINE: November 2, 2009.
EXHIBIT TYPE: Gallery Exhibit
MEDIA: Mosaics may be 2-D, 3-D or an architectural installation. No decorative mirrors or vases will be eligible. Size limit for 2-D and 3-D entries: 48″ wide (except entries for the architectural category). Weight limits: 50 lbs for wall piece or any piece that has to be suspended or placed on podium, 70 lbs for any piece that is free standing on the ground.
DESCRIPTION: SAMA announces a call to artists for a juried exhibit, March 1 – April 30, 2010 at the Smith Stained Glass Museum, Navy Pier, Chicago, Illinois. Best in Show, Best 2D, Best 3D, Best Architectural and Juror’s choices. Jurors: Oliver Budd, Janet Kozechek, Juan Chavez. Open to all current SAMA members, age 18 and over. (Dues may be paid in the SAMA Shop at www.americanmosaics.org if you are not already a member). Only one accepted work per artist will be exhibited. Work need not be for sale, but all items sold will be subject to a 30% commission. The jury process will take place by digital image review: http://www.juriedartservices.com. SHOW: “The Power of Partnership – World AIDS Day”
ENTRY DEADLINE: November 12, 2009.
EXHIBIT TYPE: One Day Fund Raiser Sale
MEDIA: All art work must be 5 x 7. No limit on the number of entries. Artists may pick up a 5 x 7 canvas board to use for their works, at no charge, from the CBAF office. Art work may be of any medium and any theme.
DESCRIPTION: The Power Of Partnership is an event highlighting World AIDS Day, December 1, 2009 at Harbor Playhouse in Corpus Christi, Texas. It is designated as a major fundraiser for the Coastal Bend AIDS Foundation, which serves community members infected and affected with HIV/AIDS in the Texas Coastal Bend. 1st, 2nd, 3rd places for “Best of Show” will be decided by a panel of jurors. All art work will be donated to the agency and sold at the event. Established and emerging artists may enter. Artists are to be 18+ years old. Pieces do not have to be HIV/AIDS related. Art works do not have to be framed. If they are framed, only black or white mats may be used, and large, bulky and/or decorative frames are not appropriate. No Fee. SHOW: 60 Square Inches – 17th Biennial N. American Small Print Exhibition.
DEADLINE: November 13, 2009
EXHIBIT TYPE: Gallery Exhibit
MEDIA: Entries must be original fine art prints in any media except straight photography. Image size may not exceed 60 square inches (height x width).
Description: Open to artists over the age of 18 residing in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Juror will be Jenny Schmid of bikini press international and the University of Minnesota. Selections will be made from digital images. A non-refundable entry fee of $25 entitles the artist to submit up to three (3) images of original works completed in the last 3 years (2007-2009). SHOW: “UncommonThread Wearable Art Show”
ENTRY DEADLINE: November 13, 2009.
EXHIBIT TYPE: One Day Exhibit
MEDIA: Wearable Art
DESCRIPTION: CultureCandy seeks entries from artists of all mediums from anywhere in the US and Canada for a show at the Old State Capitol in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, December 12th. $1000 for first place, $300 runner up. Juror: Liz Good, Senior Editor of Fiber Arts Magazine. Entries must be full-garment pieces of art wear. Craftsmanship and ingenuity will be foremost in considering prize winners. This year’s challenge asks artists to animate creatures of myth; either from legend or their own imagination. Cryptozoology means the study of hidden animals. It is intended to inspire art wear that uncovers these elusive creatures while simultaneously providing a forum for skillful, voyeuristic wearable art. The goal is to bring art wear to the forefront, even if only for a night, and pay homage to those who excel in this arena. $25 entry fee. DESCRIPTION: The Art and Art History Dept. University of Texas at Tyler announces a call to artists for the “25th Annual International Exhibition,” to be held January 11 – March 5, 2010 at the Meadows Gallery in Tyler, Texas. Three to six purchase awards. Juror: Mark Williams, painter, New York. Any artist, 18 years of age or older. DESCRIPTION: Celebrating its 10th year, Chattanooga’s 4 Bridges Arts Festival is the place to be April 17th & 18th, 2010! This exciting event will feature fine art and fine craft from over 150 local and national artists. Housed in Chattanooga’s beautiful open air First Tennessee Pavilion, this stand-out show is not to be missed. Artist Merit Awards totaling $10,000 will be available.
